ROGSI/DMS V5 is the new version of the disaster recovery planning tool ROGSI/DMS V4.
The main difference between V4 and V5 is the use of a browser instead of the client.

This means: no installation of the software at the client’s desktop anymore.

The use of ROGSI/DMS V5 is very easy. The design of the GUI is very close to the GUI of ROGSI/DMS V4. The time for training for V4 users is short and also new users will have only a 1 to 2 days training.

ROGSI/DMS V5 will be released in several steps:

Step 1: DMS - base module 
This module supports the maintenance of the data in a V5 database and a V4 database as well.
this allows using V5 for maintenance of the V4 data before all modules are available.
V5 includes some functions which are not available in V4 (right now).

Step 2: Report Generator
The new RPT will replace the RPT of the Version 4. In addition to the flexible use and the powerful functions, RPT V5 
will include tools for a fast and easy creation of new reports.

Step 3: Graphical Activity Plan
GAP V5 will replace the GAP V4. New functions and more information will expand the functionality.

Step 4: Tools
Tools, like Import, Export, Backup, Restore and Database Check will be released in this last step.
